My TV was too old for Good Will. LG OLED is a great family gift from Best Buy

That is right, my husband and I tried to donate a working TV to Good Will. The TV worked, it was a decently priced TV when it was bought. That is right Good Will told us that TV that we had recently used as our family TV was too old to donate. It was also so heavy that the nice worker felt bad for me and threw it away, as I could never lift it on my own. Remember the days when it took two people to carry a small tv or computer monitor? Recently I have been on a quest to give up soda and iced tea. I hate plan water, so I jumped at the chance to try this awesome water bottle. Perfect for taking to the gym too! Taco Tuesday

My son has been obsessed with Taco Tuesday because he watched the Lego Movie.   I hate buying over priced pre-made mixes, especially when I have all the ingredients at home in my spice cabinet. I have a crazy amount of cookbooks so I know there had to be one with homemade taco seasoning. I found Tex-Mex Recipes, never used on my shelf.

Then I found  this recipe.

I had all the ingredients in my spice cabinet.

The recipe for the mix is easy and most people have all the ingredients at home.

1/4 cup chilli powder
3 tablespoons garlic salt
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons dried oregano
1/2 teaspoons ground red pepper



So easy I just mixed everything in the mason jar , added the ReCap and shook it!

Why was I buying pre-packaged seasoning again?


I was  sent The Original reCAP Mason Jars Pour Cap   and a  TeChef - Color Pan - 12" Frying Pan Review to review . Perfect items to make fresh tacos for my family for Taco Tuesday!

I was also sent another awesome product from TeChef. They had sent me a Tamagoyaki pan a few weeks ago,  This time they sent me a Wok/ Frying pan in an awesome olive green color. It is safer non-stick option because it is (PFOA Free)

 I put a 1lb or 2 of meat in the pan. I bought it on  a Friday when Martin's reduces their meat and froze it. (There is nothing wrong with reduced meat. It is a great way to save money)

 I then added about 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.

 and then the homemade taco seasoning and some water.

Look how delicious it looks in my taco serving tray.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread! #jivaorganics Sponsored Post

Fall is the time for all things pumpkin. My soon to be seven year old son LOVES . This is another recipe from an old church cookbook that I have translated and changed just a little. Instead of dates and nuts I used  dark chocolate chips. 

 First gather all your ingredients.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

This is a very easy pumpkin bread recipe. No need for a box mix!

Ingredients

• 4 cups Flour
• 3 cups Sugar
• 1 cup Salad Oil
• 1 cup Water
• 2 cups Pumpkin
• 1 teaspoon Baking powder
• 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
• 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
• 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
• 4 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
• 2 Cups Chocolate Chips
• 4 eggs beaten Eggs

Instructions

This recipe does not need to be mixed in any particular order. Just mix everything with your kitchen aid or similar mixer. Then pour into grease bread pans. Bake regular sized loaves for 55 minutes at 350 and mini loaves for 25 minutes at 350.

Details

Prep time: 10 hour Cook time: 55 mins Total time: 1 hour 5 mins Yield: 3 full loaves or 27 mini loaves

 Mix them all together. It doesn't need to be done in any particular order.

Grease your pans and then pour the mix in until it is half way full.

Then bake the loaves for 55 minutes at 350 and the mini loaves for 25 minutes also at 350.

 The nutmeg was sent from Spicy World Whole Nutmeg this is a nice sized container of quality nutmeg. The flavor is great ! My only complaint is that the bag is not resealable and I need a funner to transfer it to a normal sized container. It is a good price for the amount of nutmeg in the bag. Currently it is $7.50 for a rather large bag of nutmeg powder.

Hair Straighener Review
